Aftermarket double DIN unit

Submitted by Admin on April 23, 2010 – 2:46 pmOne Comment

For those who have been dreaming to have a all-in-one double DIN unit, comparable to the OEM navigation system’s look, that does fit your dash perfectly, connects to your OEM wires, there is finally a solution.

It appears several companies are manufacturing these units in China and/or a few of these Chinese companies do share the same hardware platform with some custom applications on their own. Several companies do sell those units, made by Hualingan and others under their own brand name.

Here is a big thread about those products:

As of today we are unclear how is selling what, a part from Dynavin that sells already their unit for the e46 in the US, Europe and Asia.

Apparently the model for the e39/x53 will be released in the next few weeks (May/June 2010). Dynavin has not released an actual picture of their e39 as of yet. The one on their site is not the actual product we have been told by one of their representative.

You can follow the following thread for real life experience from e46 Dynavin owners: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=742913

One the the manufacturer that we know for sure, is  Hualingan (China) – Website: http://www.dvdplayer.com.cn/products_view.php?VID=396
